Vegan Heart Shaped Red Velvet Cookies
These heart-shaped red velvet cookies are soft, chewy, and such a fun bake for Valentine’s Day or any time you want something a little special. They have that classic red velvet look with a rich cocoa flavor, and they are completely vegan: no eggs, no butter, no dairy. The dough comes together quickly with just a handful of pantry ingredients, and the chocolate chunk topping makes them look gorgeous on a plate. Eggless Dairy Free Red Velvet Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (100 g) Brown Sugar
- 1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons (110 ml) Vegetable Oil
- 1 cup (140 g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp (4 g) Baking Powder
- 1 tbsp (7 g) Cocoa Powder
- 3-4 drops Red Food Coloring Gel
- Coconut chunks for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350oF (180oC).
- To a bowl, add sugar, and oil. Mix well.
- Sift in flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Mix
- Add food coloring gel and mix.
- Transfer dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll until about 0.5 cm.Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter. Place hearts on parchment paper onto a baking tray.
- Add coconut chunks on top (optional).
- Bake in preheated oven to 350oF (180oC), rack middle position,10 minutes.
- Let cookies cool down in pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to wire rack to cool down completely.
