3-Ingredient Flatbread Recipe

This 3-ingredient flatbread is made with just flour, Greek yogurt, and baking powder. No yeast, no waiting, no kneading. The yogurt gives the dough a wonderful, slightly tangy flavor and a soft, flexible texture that works perfectly alongside soups, curries, or dips. Cook each flatbread on a hot dry pan for golden, charred edges and a pillowy center. Also try my No-Knead Baguette, Chinese Steamed Buns, or Irish Scones.

  • 3/4 cup (150 ml, 5 oz) Greek Yogurt / Full Fat Plain Yogurt

Instructions

  • Mix the flour and baking powder, then add the yogurt. Bring the mixture together and knead for about 1–2 minutes.
  • Transfer to a lightly floured work surface, adding a little flour to prevent sticking. Roll into a log and divide into 4 pieces.
  • Shape each piece into a ball, then roll immediately into a thin circle. There is no resting or rising stage.
  • Preheat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread without oil for about 2 minutes on each side, until puffed and browned. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Notes

The video specifies 2 minutes per side. The 16-minute cooking field is calculated for four flatbreads cooked one at a time; using a larger griddle can shorten the batch time. The preparation field retains the existing estimate; the video confirms the specific cooking or resting stages described above.
