Salmon Bao Burger

Salmon Bao Burger
These Easy and Quick Salmon Cakes are perfect for Fast weeknight dinners !They pair really well with steamed buns and are great as Salmon Burgers (Salmon Bao Burger).
Dietary note: Contains eggs and fish. This recipe is not vegan.
Ingredients
- 350 g Fresh Salmon
- 1/2 cup Chopped Parsley
- Lemon Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 Egg
- 1 Clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt
- Pepper (to taste)
- 1 Cup (125 g) Panko or Bread Crumbs)
For frying and serving
- Oil for frying
- 4 Steamed buns prepared separately
- Mayonnaise for spreading
- Tomato and cucumber slices for serving
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Finely mince the salmon. Chop the parsley and mince the garlic.
- Mix the salmon with the parsley, lemon juice, egg, garlic, salt, pepper and panko or breadcrumbs.
- Divide into 4 portions, roll into balls and flatten into thin patties before frying.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. The video fries each thin patty for 1 minute, then flips it and fries for another 1 minute. Continue as needed until cooked through; thicker patties will take longer.
- Split the steamed buns and spread with mayonnaise. Add a salmon patty, tomato and cucumber slices, and the fresh herb garnish shown in the video. Close the buns and serve.
