Egg Free Dairy Free Chocolate Pear Cake

VEGAN CHOCOLATE PEAR CAKE, moist and easy to make.
This Egg Free Dairy Free Chocolate Pear Cake make a great dessert for the holiday season.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Pears, peeled
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) Superfine Granulated Sugar
  • 1 ½ cup (360 ml) Warm Water (90-100oF ; 32-38oC)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cups (280 g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp (8 g) Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5 g) Salt
  • Icing/Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350oF (180oC).
    Line a 20x10.5x6 cm (8x4x2.5 inch) loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • To a bowl, add sugar and water. Whisk until sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Then add oil and mix well.
  • Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Mix until dry flour is no longer visible. DO NOT OVER MIX (mix until dry and wet ingredients are just combined).
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Set aside.
  • Peel pear and dust with flour.
  • Place pears in batter.
  • Bake in preheated oven to 350oF (180oC), rack middle position, 45-50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the middle of cake comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool down in pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer cake to wire rack to cool down completely.
